Rangshala staged poems of Shaheed Avtaar Singh“Pash”

Rangshala Sansthan today on the day of Martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh staged poems of Shaheed Avtaar Singh “Pash” in a style called Poetic Theatre or Poetic Drama style. Poetic Drama term applied to the plays written in verse or in a heightened poetic form of prose, which in the 19th and 20th centuries constituted an attempt to restore the medium of poetry to the stage.Today’s performance was mainly based on Shaheed Avtaar Singh “Pash’s” most popular and strength giving poem “Sabse Khatarnaak Hota Hai Hamarey Sapno Ka Mar Jaana” which was directed by Umesh Singh and staged at Group Head Quarter. Today’s performance was mainly for the students who are participating in the Theatre Workshop organized by Rangshala Theatre Group of Society, Jammu in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
Through these kinds of productions, their makings, going through each and every procedure of the theatre, Director of the workshop Umesh Singh is trying his best to make students understand the need of theatre and the hard work behind every production which was highly liked by the students and the presentees.
Artist’s who participated in today’s production/performance were Sunita K Thakur, Gautam Singh, Nikhil Singh, Make-up by Siddharth, Costumes by Nitigya, Sets and Property by Abhishek and Vishal while Nikhil Singh Assisted
